Resident A1x Terrier of the Kent and East Sussex Railway "Knowle" descends down Tenterden bank with St Michaels church in the background during the Dwarves of Steam Gala in 2025.

Built in 1880 for the London Brighton and South Coast Railways, Knowle would serve briefly for a time on the Isle of Wight network being renamed to Bembridge. On return to the mainland in 1936, she would go onto serve on the Hayling Island branchline before going onto the Kent and East Sussex Railway. After WWII she would return to Hayling Island before ending up in Newhaven Harbour to see out her final days in British Railway ownership, being withdrawn in 1963. Initially sold to Butlins, she would return to the Kent and East Sussex Railway and begin a lengthy overhaul. Back for the re-opening to Bodiam in 2000, she is now a regular runner on the KESR and a very popular locomotive.
