
Beachy Head Charter (March 2025)
A Timeline Event charter that took place soon after the Branchline gala with new build steam locomotive No32424 Beachy Head. Operating between Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes, it allowed us to get some fantastic shots as the weather was gorgeous and the light superb.
Morning Beachy - Beachy Head rounds the curve at Poleay Bridge
Three Arch Framing - No32424 Beachy Head climbs away from the outer home by Three Bridge and towards Horsted Keynes.
Catching the Light - No32424 Beachy Head accelerates through Rock Cutting with 4 Mk1 coaches
On the Approach - No32424 Beachy Head picks up the power to climb the gradient into Horsted Keynes station
Spring Lighting - Beachy Head climbs towards South Field with an early morning train due for Horsted Keynes.
Cutting through the Rock - Beachy Head climbs through Rock Cutting (seen from a lower angle)
Broken Bridge - No32424 Beachy Head is seen powering through the remains of Town House Bridge
To the Dark Side - Beachy Head as seen from the offset side as she powers through Three Arch Bridge
Stand Up Steam - No32424 Beachy Head seen in the afternoon approaches the mound just south of New Road bridge
Having a Lunch Break - Beachy Head rests with a slight wisp of smoke on a sunny day at Sheffield Park
In the Woods - Beachy Head on a late morning service through the woods at Town Place Farm
Uncharted Territory - With permission from the farmer, we see Beachy Head from the field across the road from the Waterworks Bridge
Charging Beachy - Having just gone over Waterworks Bridge Beachy Head heads towards Caseford Bridge
